In The Hunger Games: A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, Coriolanus Snow is only 18 years old. Although Snow’s family is going through a hard time, he gets a chance to change his fate when he is chosen to mentor young Lucy Grey from District 12 in the Tenth Anniversary Hunger Games. The beautiful and intelligent girl captures Panem’s attention by singing boldly during the ceremony and performing well in the arena of deadly games. Then young Snow begins a dangerous game to win the Games and his own future, believing that his instincts and political savvy, along with Lucy’s beauty and talent, will take him to the very top of the Panem hierarchy. It is Snow and Lucy Grey’s race to survive that will ultimately show who is the songbird and who is the snake.

The film stars Tom Blythe (Billy the Kid) and Rachel Zegler (West Side Story, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, Snow White). The film also stars Hunter Schaefer (Euphoria), Jason Schwartzman (almost all Wes Anderson films), Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, I Care a Lot), Viola Davis (Widows, Suicide Squad, Air) and others.

The film was directed by Francis Lawrence, whose credits include Constantine, three of the four parts of the original Hunger Games, and Slumberland.
