Disney has released a new trailer for the family animated movie musical Wish, which combines computer animation with the legendary studio’s classic hand-drawn animation. This is the 62nd animated film created by Disney in its 100-year history.
The plot of the cartoon is centered on a clever idealistic girl, Asha, who makes a wish so strong that it is answered by a cosmic force – a small ball of boundless energy. In order to save her people, they have to confront the evil king together.
In the original version, the main characters were voiced by Ariana Debos (West Side Story, Hamilton), Alan Tudyk (Raya and the Last Dragon, Frozen, Aladdin) and Chris Pine (Wonder Woman, Star Trek, Dungeons & Dragons).
The film was directed by American animator Chris Buck, who previously directed Frozen (both parts), Tarzan, and Surf’s Up.
The music was composed by David Metzger, who has worked on soundtracks for such popular animated films as Rio, Frozen, Moana, The Lion King and many others.
It should be noted that Disney is also currently developing such animated films as Elio, Inside Out 2, and Mufasa: The Lion King, all of which are due to be released in 2024. In addition, the third animated film in the Frozen series, the fifth animated film in the Toy Story franchise, and a sequel to Zootopia are being prepared.
