The Beekeeper – trailer of David Ayer’s action movie, where Jason Statham “stings” bad guys

The quiet and peaceful life of a former operative of a super-secret organization called The Beekeeper comes to an end after the death of an old acquaintance. In order to take revenge, Adam Clay (Jason Statham) once again applies his “unique skills” and uncovers corruption within a huge company.

The Beekeeper, judging by the trailer, promises a lot of shootings, fires, contact fights, and sometimes funny scenes, such as setting a bad guy on fire with honey. In the end, Adam discovers that the company’s irregularities reach the top of the government, and it’s up to him to root out corruption by confronting the FBI itself.

This is the first time David Ayer has worked with Statham, though he is no stranger to working with action stars. He wrote and directed Suicide Squad, as well as directed Fury and collaborated with Arnold Schwarzenegger on the crime thriller Sabotage.

In The Beekeeper, Ayer reteamed with Street Kings screenwriter Kurt Wimmer.

Along with Statham, the film features Oscar winner Jeremy Irons, who recently starred in DC’s The Flash, as well as a strong supporting cast of The Umbrella Academy alumna Amy Raver-Lampman, Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games franchise), Bobby Nader, Minnie Driver, Phylicia Rashad and others.
