Humanity’s desire to meet intelligent life in space has long existed. However, the universe is silent, and encounters with UFOs turn out to be myths when checked. This eternal idea is embodied on the screens, where the creators of films and TV series are tirelessly inspired by new stories about interaction with aliens. In sci-fi stories, aliens can be either friendly humanoids or deadly monsters, and encounters with representatives of other civilizations can be a source of horror or comedy.

The Event (2010 – 2011)

A programmer’s girlfriend suddenly disappears on the eve of her wedding, leaving her loved ones with no memory of her existence. The protagonist, her future husband, goes in search of her and tries to unravel the mysterious circumstances. The inhabitants of the Earth welcome their intelligent neighbors from outer space. However, an FBI agent investigating terrorist activities concludes that envoys from other worlds can use the support of the local population for only one purpose: to deliver a fatal blow at the right time.

The Sarah Jane Adventures (2006 – 2020)

A spin-off of the famous British TV series Doctor Who. The main character used to be one of the companions of a mysterious humanoid traveling to different times and places. However, traveling through the universe is a thing of the past. The new role in the woman’s life is a journalist who investigates cases of alien activity and saves people from the influence of other civilizations from outer space.

This offshoot of the popular Doctor Who television series is dedicated to an organization created by Queen Victoria to counter alien enemies of the Crown. The members of this secret agency have gathered a wealth of experience and even gained access to technologies from other worlds. Agents are engaged in tracking various anomalies and investigating crimes related to the intervention of alien forces.

Among the best sci-fi TV series dedicated to space creatures, a significant place is occupied by the exciting dramatic and comedic adventures of the Time Lord aboard an interstellar ship stylized as a police box. The leader of the group, called the Big Giant Head, constantly keeps in touch with his subordinates and sets them challenging tasks. The mission members have to struggle with the difficulties of their mission, because their earthly appearance does not match their alien characters.
